Experts on the PGI Piedmont Hazelnut
This variety, the Tonda Gentile Trilobata, is considered the best hazelnut in the world for its outstanding organoleptic qualities. From its intense and lingering flavor to its crisp texture and perfect peeling after roasting, the PGI Piedmont Hazelnut is the top choice for master pastry chefs and Michelin-starred chefs. However, the true queen of hazelnuts comes from the Langhe region—a land with the perfect microclimate, gentle hills, and rich soils that give the hazelnut its unmistakable taste. In 2019, this exceptional quality was officially recognized by the EU with the designation "PGI Piedmont Hazelnut from Langhe." We are proud suppliers of this excellence—we know it well.
upon request, other varieties available
We are undoubtedly expert producers of PGI Piedmont Hazelnuts from Langhe. But we don’t stop there: we understand that every need is different. That’s why we also offer other varieties, both from Piedmont and other regions of Italy, such as the Giffoni hazelnut from Campania or the Piedmontese Tonda Gentile Trilobata without PGI certification—for those looking for different price ranges without compromising on quality. We are hazelnut specialists, from the most prestigious to the most versatile, ensuring you always get the best, tailored to your needs.
F.A.Q.
Some of the information we are most often asked by professionals and exhibitors.
DO YOU SELL ONLY PGI PIEDMONT HAZELNUT OR DO YOU HAVE OTHER VARIETIES AVAILABLE?
Corilanga is a cooperative specializing in the processing of PGI Piedmont Hazelnuts, but we also have Tonda Gentile Trilobata (TGT) Hazelnuts from Piedmont.
WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN A PGI PIEDMONT HAZELNUT AND A TGT HAZELNUT?
The PGI Piedmont Hazelnut and the Tonda Gentile Trilobata Hazelnut belong to the same variety and come from the same territory. The PGI mark guarantees strict control from the field to the final product and is therefore synonymous with higher quality.
IS THERE A MINIMUM ORDER QUANTITY?
We have no real order minimums, we only require that the boxes be complete.
HOW ARE ORDERS SHIPPED AND WHAT IS THE TIMELINE?
